there's an article with roger linn that says something to the effect of them cutting the treble on the converters and maybe boosting the bass of what goes in

i personaly think that the s950 and the mpc60 dont have the same sound...

mpc60 is more clear than the dirty s950, s950 is a real 12bit machine
with a bandwidth beetween 3000 and 19200 hz

the 60 is a high 44000 hz very very clear...good for hihats and crash

i've both machines and it's my opinion

Corrected I stand.
The S950 format: 12 bit linear sound. 48khz - 2.25 mb
63 sec. of sampling time. NO FX
Vice the MPC 60 format: 12 bit - 40khz stereo. 1.5 mb -
26.2 seconds of sampling time. No filter.

Good looking out.
