First I plug in the usb...get that set up. THen the hard drive appears. First I created the program in bluebox and tried to sendto the hard drive and i got the error message. When that didnt work, I tried to just drag and drop the wave into the mpc and I still got the error message.

do you have the same problems copying files from the mpc1000 to ur computer with usb? give that a shot.. if all fails u might have to format ur card to mpc1000.. im not sure what filesystem it uses..also are u mounting ur mpc1000 to ur computer correctly?

u can have the mpc hooked up to ur comp it will show up as an extra drive but u cant send stuff to it unless ur in the mpc1000 load window of the usb.

when u are in usb mode of the load section on ur mpc then u can drag and drop stuff to or from ur mpc..after that u have to unmount the drive from the systray where a lil program that manges usb plugged things will apear that are hooked up..in there u can unmount it when u are done transfering what ever to the mpc...in the manual its sketchy in instructions.. if u ask me i think akai did a shit job on implementing usb to mpc.. its a headache to us windows users but i hear mac users dont have to unmount.. if ur interested theres the jj os

in the jj os u dont have to unmount anything and disconnect usb from its host.. u can leave ur usb cable in and it auto unmounts automatically.. its much easier and not messy like how us 2.11 users do it

p.s i just heard ur tracks GAWDDD DAMN THEY ARE SMOOTH..i can listen to ur stuff all day :) love your tracks love to hear more :)
