How to specify MONO vs POLY using the MPC 2000 XL

Ok, so I'm in the process of moving from FL Studio to the MPC 2000 XL. I've read the manual and picking up tips online, but one thing I'm stuck on is how to specify if I want the sample on MONO or POLY. Can anyone help?

Ok, someone should clarify this since I've only used a 2000 Classic and I'm not very familiar with that (although I do have an XL I haven't had chance to try yet) but I'm sure if you go the screen where you assign samples to pads (program?) and press the ?Params? button (far right F key?) in the bottom right it should have a MONO/POLY/NOTE OFF section where you scroll through those choices.

here is a handy tip as well. hit open window on anything you can move the cursor on yuoll find lots of hidden windows.
