Do I have to format the disk for a SCSI External zip drive?

So do i have to fromat the disk on my computer or nething b4 i can use the zip disk for saving?

I haven't used the ZIPs in awhile, probably format the disk to your mpc...
Do you have a 2kxl or a 2000. If you got an xl I would say get a CF drive instead if using ZIPs, makes file transfering much easier.

I have a 2000 non XL . SO how would i go about formatting the disk?

connect the zip drive to the mpc....put the zip disk into the zip drive.......
go to load screen(press shift+3 on the mpc) then press f3 to format.

yea it doesnt do nething when i do that. I switched the device to SCSI and it still doesnt do nething
