that when im on an unused track, and if i move a slider, the track becomes a used track, even though i aint recorded anythin.

i think its annoying. i dont want unwritten tracks 'filling up' my track mute window with new empty tracks.

why would you move a slider if your on an unused track ? aren't you planning to use the track ?

yea thats kind of confusing. Why not just leave the slider alone then?

hah yeah i can see both your points, but u see im doing some stuff, and im in track mute page, i accidentally move a slider, and blamm, im cursed with a problem of having to delete a track thats of no use cos its got no data on it, i just happened to touch a fkin fader while a track thats unused (because say ive just changed sequences while in track mute page) and that track was selected in main page during the previous sequence. get me?

so why does it suddenly "activate' a track when no data's going in?

i guess because the slider assings data to the track.., maybe you could report it to jj for a little update or something?

I would just advise to just look out with the sliders, i never accidently move the sliders :)

well wouldnt it at least record it as midi data or something like that? Not sure. Good question tho.

No I agree, I think tracks should remain "Unused" as long as you don't actually record something on them.

That's how it is for instance on a good old MPC2000. Even if you assign a program to a track the track reads as if it has been recorded on. How does that make sense?

It's good to be able to see just at a glance wether a track has something on it or not. Now you have no way of really knowing unless you check it. I don't know, it doesn't make sense to me, seems counter intuitive and weird.

The track also gets "used" if you select a program which is a good thing.

What annoys me more (not to an extent where i requested a new feature) is that the program swiches the moment i press record.

Not really a problem though

I think this might be part of arbee's problem. I did a google search and found a picture of him...

Why is it a good thing that a track gets "used" when you select a program?

Is one of the best movies ever. A man with hands like that should not be using a 1000... or dialing a phone (The fingers you are using to dial, are too fat, Mash the keyboard with your palm to obtain a special dialing wand)

The same moment any kind of information is written to a track/sequence it becones used, no matter if its a change of the q2 value or the selection of a program. Good thing might be the wrong term, its just the way it works.
