Sampling question , sample looses quality after chopping.

Whats up everyone, Ive been on the site for about 6 or 7 months and i learned a whole bunch from just reading and asking questions.My questions is
I have a MPC1000, i sampled a record a simple 4 bar loop which sounnds great at 1st, but after i chop it up in 16zones it looses quality is this normal or am i doing sumthing wrong? I sample the record in stereo if it matters.
any help is appreciated.I tryed searching but came up with nothing

are you using the JJ os? If not I think the factory os converts the chops to mono and thats why they sound crappy.

this is a common misconception
pound a problem is right

it doesn't lose quality, it just doesn't preserve the stereo field

that chop function is not the end all be all! i find that majority of the time you have to tweak the begin and end points

the free JJ OS chops go into mono also, but if you buy it, it goes stereo
