MPC 101......I didn't go through all the posts but basically note repeat needs to be turned on each time you start recording (it turns off automatically when you stop your sequence). It works just as well with external MIDI gear as internal sounds. Once you enable note repeat any sample, voice from external gear etc will repeat at the tempo selected as long as you hold down the pad or key etc on your controller. A red LED indicates note repeat is on....pressing the button a second time disables note repeat (the LED goes out) The function can be used during playback as well. MIDI data already recorded will remain unchanged. It is not required to enable "note repeat" during playback to hear what you have already recorded......
