sequencing question?

I wanted to know if i need the 128 memory to sequence my motif with the mpc500.....I just got the mpc and i didn't get get 128 memory upgrade yet....I to use the motif as soundsource and the mpc as sequencer.

No u can just MIDI the two. It will be MIDI syncing signals going on. The sounds of the Motif will remain in the motif u will just be using the mpc's sequencer instead of the motif's sequencer.
