HELP I CAN'T SAVE . . . .

I can't save a beat on my mpc and i've never been able to. My MPC has a zip drive in it that doesnt work and every time I turn off the MPC I loose every thing I had on there. I've been using it like this for a while now and it's had its days where it was on for like a week here an there but I'm sick of not being able to save. Any suggestions? Ive looked into a multi card reader but none of them at the computer store connect ATAPI they're all USB.
