That's a good price. So you don't have the upgrades on your main 60? Homie hook that up!!! You'll never regret it, ever!!!

For me, the sampler benefits of the upgrade are the icing, the real benefit is workflow and sequencing. And I use the 60's sampler a lot!!

On the other points, yes, there were stock Marion SCSI boards sold on the later OS's 2.12 and up or 2.14 and up. Not sure. And yes, the MK II did come with the Memory upgrade standard, but that doesn't mean some sly nukka didn't take it out and put it in his MK I !!!!!

Actually if I were you and you are going for the mpc60 and asr10 setup, I'd probably do the drums on the mpc and the bass on the asr10. It might work out better for you to play your bass on the notes of the keyboard and use the asr filters to tweak your bass sounds. I heard the mpc60 doesn't have filters but it does have an EQ to tweak with.

I think I found one. Sunsoakedmusic has a MPC60 with the scsi installed and OS version 2.14. The scsi dosent work due to the operating system, but Ima buy the upgrade anyways.

Anything else I need to know???


P.s. I will have a MPC2000xl for sale asap. With 8outs, maxed ram and a internal 100meg zip.

Make sure it has the marion board inside, the connector doesn't mean it's installed but not all folks know that. The SCSI should work with that OS.

i think that OS version 2.14 was the only version of the mpc60 to ship with the Marion Systems SCSI interface already installed(i got this from roger linns website i think, i could be wrong about where i read it though), but i dont think it is at all functional unless you get the 3.10 upgrade!(since in the 3.10 manual it lists hardrive saving capabilities as an added feature)
