Transfer files to computer?

Hey again...I have taken my floppy disk from my MPC 60 with a beat on it, and put it into my PC floppy drive, and copied the files from the floppy with the beat on it to my PC...Now, if I lose the info on my floppy, will I be able to take the back-up files off of my PC and place them on a formatted floppy disk(mpc 60 formated)? ANd then I will have my beat back? Thanks

I don't know why it wouldn't work, but why don't you just try it?

haha yea i just did it worked...but im about to get a zip drive so what do i gotta do to get them on my computer, do i need mpc editor? thanks

Don't get Zips involved with your PC it ain't gonna recognize them and it's gonna jack your files up. Your PC doesn't know what to do with your Zip's cause of the Akai language.

yea i read that but i wasn't sure...but my PC can read floppy files from the MPC?

Yeah that's fine it's when you start involving Zips with XP and Akai languages things start gettin messed up.

Yeah, the MPC partitions the zip discs in a way the computer can't read. When I tried this opening an MPC zip on the PC, nothing happened to my files, I think the disc just showed up as being blank on the comp. It's slow, but unfortunately you have to stick with floppies for PC/MPC transfers.
