i just got a 3000le and it came with a zip 100 when i put the headphones on i hear buzzing....or white noise...then it stop...i think when the zip stops spinning...anyone know why...oh yeah its not reading the zip100 ..i have 3.11 on there right now...

It just makes that noise with a zip, sorry! A card reader is silent and faster, the zip noise bugged me too, glad its gone.

If the mpc is recognizing the zip drive, all you need to do is format the zip disk.

DISK->9 to format or make a scsi drive active.

I have a couple of 60IIs and a 3000, which is the 4th I've owned and I always used zips. All of them made audible noise in the phones when the zip disk is accessed. This happened on both internal and external drives, 100s and 250s.

This has been discussed here before.

Turn up the master volume while a file is loading, and you will hear it.

When I got my 3KLE it was mint, and Forat mounted an internal zip.

When I would eject the zip from the drive everything would be fine...

But not silent like when it was swapped for an internal card reader :D
