Best way to get stuff from my Card Reader

So just installed a card reader into my 2kxl (props to everyone on the forum who helped me with the installation). Now i'm trying to figure out the best way to transfer stuff from the MPC to my Macbook. I think I have two options:

A.) A USB interface which connects to my MPC through its MIDI in/outs.

B.) A Compact Flash card reader for my Mac

Any ideas or preferences?

option b. is probably the best way.

Option A is actually not an option because MIDI is data, not audio, unless your not talking about audio or this USB interface has audio ins as well.

i just got the card reader for my 2000xl and a cheap usb multi card reader at walgreens and it works great. only problem i ran into is that if you create folders into the card on the mac the mpc won't read/open them. but if you do the same thing on a pc it will work. i dont know why it does this but a way around this is to create all folders on the mpc then open the card on the mac and drag all my samples into the designated folders.

and if your trying to open all of your sounds from the mpc on the mac you might wanna save all ur stuff in the mpc as .wav files cause you wont be able to open the files in a program like protools as a mpc2000 file. but if your not opening them in a program your just saving them as backups u should save as mpc2000 files cause they load faster in the mpc.

It might be the card or the reader? Strange, I don't have the folder from computer to MPC problem (sounds are in .wav's)

Well said man. I have a iMAC and a USB CF card reader.

I put my cf card in the computer to give my homeboy some drums. When I took it back out and tried to load up sh!t in my mpc, most of the files stopped working. I never figured out why but it sucks.

Use less than 8 characters for naming your folders.
