need helpin trackin out

if i have the mpc as the master sequencer and fantom as the slave..i record a melody onto the mpc using TR:1 S:MIDI 01-DEVICE 1A..how can i track out to a multitrack recorder ( i have the 8 outs on mpc)..i tried to figure it out but i couldnt..when i press MIXER on mpc it has tabs for DRUMS 1-4 but not for MIDI

The optional 8 outs as well as the standard outs are for recording audio signal, not midi data.
As far as I understand this, you want to record a melody from fantom into your mpc's sequencer as midi and then track it out into multitrack recorder. The question is if you want to record midi notes into your multitracker (if it's a software one) or if you want the actual audio signal to be recorded?
Remember - midi notes can be recorded only via midi cables and 8 outs are for recording audio signals.

Midi is more flexible then audio. Read up some articles about it. Unless you can find someone to explain it to you in details (which has already been done in the past on this board I'm sure), you just gonna have to look for the answers. Remember to learn some basics and then go into more advanced stuff, that's how we all make progress here.
It's not that complicated, but as it took me quite a while to get to know all the details, it would take me way too much time explaining it here.

i know bout midi. but since mpc only tracks out audio im goin to have to record the melody straight to the multitrack recorder? (btw i have a hardware multitrack recorder).

MPC is a MIDI production center in the first place, so it can track out midi just as well as audio. The difference is, you can record midi through midi cables and audio through audio cables, nothing else. Just record your fantom melody into the mpc as midi track, then edit if needed, and then have it play your fantom while recording fantoms outputs into your multitracker.
I think you have to read up some more about midi (and mpc's manual as well), if you didin't know the stuff I wrote above. These are the basics I mentioned previously.
