If I have a synth, I can make my own sounds. So what Music PC program allows me to make loops, then save them as .wav files then drop them into the MPC1K? Shouldn't they have a MPC software program for this? Something that would allow you to edit, compress, etc. the sound before you USB it into your machine.. Just curious..

Sound Forge or Cool Edit Pro can help there are tons of other apps out there but these are 2 of the more popular and they are the ones I use

fruity loops, you can download the demo for free and it will let you export
to wav

most any .wav editor. Goto www.downloads.com and do a search. U can get one for like 30 bills (us). Try to find one that can use direct x or vst plugins.
