Compact Flash problem

I'm not sure whats going on with my MCD. I usually go through a record or two and sample around a minute of whaever i find. I'll then go to the trim screen and trim up the different sounds. Now when I go to save, as snd. files thats when it gets risky. If my sample is short (one shot snares, kicks, hats, etc.) it saves fine. When I try to save a sample thats more than a bar or two, sh_T freezes. The wait.... sign will come up, or it will say error. I dont know what's making this happen, theres always room on my CF card..... Startin to aggravate me. If anyone could help please do.

already formated (multiple times), tried a few different CFs too. I try everything before i waste peoples time on the forums. Hope its not the actual card driver itself.

do you have another drive you could try? say like and external zip or hdd? or even throw in a floppy from your pc to further test the problem. its an easy way to rule out your drive.

I don't have another drive, so... the last thing i have to try are those little ass SD cards.

ill give you a flopy drive if you want. if you cant figure it out just pm me your addy and ill send it out.
