Hi, i really hope someone can help.

I just connected my MPC with my PC (reason) and Midikeyboard.
So far so good.
I can play Reason via the Keyboard or my MPC.
But !
How can i record the AUDIO! from what i play(ed) in Reason over the Pads onto an Audio Track into the MPC.
Could it be thats not possible at all, or is there a way to make it work ?
I`m runnin JJ OS 5.48 btw..

If anyone is using the same Setup, it be nice if he contacted me, i gota a couple of Questions regarding the Focusrite settings..

-Focusrite Saffire
-MPC 2500 with JJ`s
-Reason 4
-Cubase SX 3

Thanks in Advance !

this is easy, just follow the signal path. you want the audio output of reason to go into the inputs of your mpc so that you can record the audio on your mpc.

can't help with the focusrite.

well, when i play my keyboard i can record on an audio track inside the mpc.
I can also play the sounds in reason over the pads, but it seems, what i play over the pads,i can`t record at the same time.
So the audio signal is reachin the mpc, thats not the problem..

Have you go the midi keyboard going into the mpc??

You can always record what you play on a midi track then, play back the seq and record it as an audio track!

Peace!

yes, the midi-keyboard goes into the MPC.

I need to correct myself for what i wrote before, i mean i want to record the midi data from the pads on a midi track > That works ..

..and when i play back the midi track in my mpc, i want to record the audio, comin in from reason, (responding to the midi data sent from my mpc) on an audio track.

and that for some reason does NOT work at the moment.
I thought mybe i need to do some settings in JJ`s :?:

Ok, problem solved..
Was actually a routing problem with Audio.

But.. JJ`s still s**** on this one.

When you want to record the incoming signal triggered by a midi file you played unside the MPC, all other tracks have to be muted.
If you just put the Midi-Track on solo, the Audio Track gets solo as well.
How stupid is that ?

+ added to that, you still have all the other disadvantages JJ - Audio Track has, compared to the AKAI OS direct recording.

Besides JJ*s is great, but it just s**** bigtime, that he didnt do anything regarding the direct recording and s**** even more, that nothing`s gonna change with his upcoming new OS for 2500.
