you must be missing a step. make sure you know what notes you sampled and assign them to that note in TRIM, i imagine that's the easiest thing to miss.

i did that the first time around, i will try again though and get back to you on it . thanks for your help

You can also change that in the mode+Pad 7 screen...seems much faster to me. Don't forget to save the samples after you do this or you programs will no longer work when you load them up again.

Another thing that can help speed things up if you have the same note samples for a lot of instruments is just loadin the samples after you've constructed one program, then just switch them out for the old samples, and rename the program.

agreed. less flipping between screen

yeah, with the current software this is the fastest way to construct inst pgms, by doing exactly that.

anamorphosis, there are a lot of places to potentially screw up while making inst programs, so don't get frustrated. you'll be doing it right in no time.

thanks for your advice man, i didnt follow through with the whole task of changing the lows and the highs for all of my samples. magical stuff!

good, there you go! pretty slick. it DOES take a while, i'm not gonna lie, but compare that to assigning all 64 pads to multisamples and then manually tuning each pad, ala jj os1 / akai os 2.01 / akai os 1.07...and most humorously, akai mpc5000 os whate'r

Did you know there's automated sampling software to do the job for you? You simply plug midi from your pc to your synth and audio from your synth to your pc. After that you just tell the program what notes to sample-> the program plays the midi notes to your synth and samples the audio from the synth at the same time. You can easily repeat this procedure with all the programs in your synth.

One of these programs is called samplerobot, i'm not sure if there's some freeware software out there... Hope this makes your life a bit easier :D

edit:
oh, there's also this one: "redmatica autosampler"

that would be way easier, unfortunately i don't know if i am allowed to take that thing home with me. plus, i can't bring my daw to work...

thanks for the suggestion though i will most definitely remember that.

I think this software can also automaticly name the samples the way you did in your vid. This would mean that once you've set your auto-sampler up, (save a setup that determines the notes that are sampled) you could easily use a existing multi in mpc, all you would have to do is to open the program editor and replace the old samples with the new ones and adjust the adsr for the program with "whole"..

btw: both of these software also work with vst instruments.

Just wanted to say thanks to Nym. It's good (and frustrating as a 2500 user) to see OS2 in action. I look forward to trying it :)
