questions about drums.....

I have a very simple question.... I got 4 bars of fire... I wanna add another sequence to follow the 4 bars.... but I want the drums to stay the same throughout... How do I just copy the drum sequence to the next 4 or 8 bars without having to re-do them all??

Also... as far as chopping drums goes, any suggestions on some good records to dig for for some good loops?

One more thing... how do I filter out the drums on a sample?? Im using jjos 1 v4.98. I cant figure out how to best filter out the drums.

If you are going to make another seq, highlight your first seq and hit window. Then hit copy. It will say that you are moving to seq2 and hit do it. if you want them in the same seq, i dont know how to highlight all the drums in step edit, but go to step edit and copy the first drum and paste it to bar 5. rinse and repeat for all other drums in step edit. Good drum loops would be in old records, records people never heard of from the 60's and 70's. dig em man.

Method I use to add bars:

highlight the sequence name press window, then copy your sequence press f5, then press f5 again now you have a copy of your 4 bars to work with, Later you can string it together in song mode.

Alternatively you can go to mode pad 13, hit f2 to copy bars

Make it to look somthing like this:

To sequence : 1
First bar : 1 After Bar : 4
COPY
Last bar : 4

Hit f5, Do it.

Thats it.

Filter samples in Mode 7 Program Mode Press filter on the sample you want. go to lowpass, or lowpass 2 link them up your get the bass out.

With that said, Get the Manual and Read it until your eyes hurt. And Most likely these questions have been answered before. Do a search for any topic before you post common questions.

For your first question all you have to do is copy the sequence to a unused sequence and "mute" the sample so there will only be the drums playing.Then from there you can record something else over top of the drums without the sample being there.
