Is there a way that after you chop, or extract a sample in Trim Mode that you can automatically assign the sample to a specific program/pad bank? Or do you have to always go into Program Mode and scroll through all the samples until you find the extracted sample you want to use?

I'm asking because I used to own an RS7000 and the thing I loved about it was you could automatically assign a track and pad bank for each sample so after your done chopping, it's already there, no searching required.

I also have tons of drums that I have loaded up so this makes searching for a particular sample very cumbersome. Not to mention if I am doing excessive chopping, it just seems very time consuming.

Is there anyway to do this on the fly? Or will I just have to go into Program Mode each time and assign them manually?

Thanks.

Yea, easy answer.

When you set up your slices in trim mode, press edit, then press convert, then set it to sliced samples, below it will ask if u want them assigned to a new program, choose yes.

It will chop and assign your slices on a new program automatically.

yeah but what if I'm not in "slice" mode (and btw you can't slice in stereo w/ the akai os) What if I want to just extract a bunch of samples from a larger sample manually? Is there anyway to have them go to a specified program?

thanks for the reply.
