I know what your saying but I don't see it like that, this type of thing has the potential to be really creative too.
Yeah you could be lazy with it but I for one am not lazy when it comes to chopping, programing etc: In fact Ive just released a single with literally hundreds of sample chops(not that that matters- the bottom line is the music hopefully).

The initial core of it was done a few years ago an Emu Esi-32 (the B side has a lot more JJOS use on it). The A sides a JB's type funk track,made entirely from samples off about 8 or 9 records,none of which were funk originally ,all chopped up,played differently,retuned ,layered etc etc blah,blah. That took
time!
The B sides a jazz tune with a similar concept (chop samples off records,play em, make it sound live).
back to the topic though: From JJ's point of view this is the sort of addition that'd probably sell OS2 to "lazy noobies" too, and give the rest of us another powerful way to manipulate samples.Sure I can live without it, but it'd be nice.
