MPC 2000XL SYNC 2 PRO TOOLS LE 7.4...TIMING ISSUE!!!!

Im trying to synchronize the Akai Mpc 2000xl to Pro Tools LE 7.4 using MTC but it seems to be giving me a timing issue. I record an instrument for 4 bars (when its "synchronized") then I cut and edit then start duplictating the 4 bars but once its passing the 13th bar its starts to slightly drift off tempo, as the song goes on the bars aren't where they're supposed to be. Which tells me it aint that synchronize as i thought... do I have some settings wrong on mtc or whats the problem?......frame rate "30", mmc=on, ports r correct i checked them, peripherals on pt is set to the correct port, session setup says its 30 frame rate, i dont know wat else to do...

Well first of all you are using MMC and not MTC so there is your problem.

Make sure the tempo is the same on the mpc and pro tools

Aight so wat is the setting for using only MTC?

Change the MP and turn off anything in Pro Tools that said MMC and set Pro Tools to MTC
