I`m scared...

I put on my 2000 yesterday,or better,tried to put on...
no lights no nothing,just a tiny clicking noise below the pads,rhytmically....
might my mpc have died?or is it just the power adapter?

Have you tried to open it yet?

did it,but no further info.....no smoke or fire,just that noise and no lights.even the little fuse sitting there looks like new....

I had a similar problem (minus the clicking)
There's a board that's dedicated to the input power. It's pretty small and easy to remove. Mine had a couple of loose solders on it. I just reheated them with a soldering gun and it was good as new.

that would be nice....seems like I should get some soldering skills if I wanna **** with my 2000 for some time....

Might be the power supply on the inside, I've heard that click before and I've seen that happen to an mpc before.....

seems so,cause there`s nothing loose....anyone where to get and how much?

If it's just a power supply, any tech with basic skills should be able to fix it. Power supplies are like basic addition to a good tech... It's one of the first things they learn. It shouldn't take more than an hours labor.
