Thanks Zeus..., but umm, whats a CF card and how do i format it with hybrid partions?.... and whats the thing about 24 removable hard drives?... sorry if i sound stoopid .. maybe you can help me out.. i dont know if you know anything about S's works MpcPgmMaker... but i ultimately want to be able to edit and process drums in the box(with reason or PT or whatever), construct pgm. files, and transfer the edited drums to my 3000... is this an actual possibility..??

WTF ???

Instructions are sent by mail email, separate to the package.

If you don't receive the instructions via email.

Asking first before installation makes more sense.

Due to an outtage last week some emails didn't get sent.

Please contact me in private so I can arrange a replacement set of chips for you.

If you have blindly gone ahead an installed these the wrong way around then they will now be dead.

Thanks,

Rohan.

Waiting on my new chips to arrive-patience is definitely a virtue. Now i know what to do and not do. I also removed the old memory chip and repaired a bracket that was just floating loose in there. I'm considering replacing the pads and backlight myself now that i've opened the unit and it doesn't appear to be that difficult. peace

dude, if you can't replace the chips properly then you might want to defer the other ish to a professional, seriously, you just line them up right and that's it...sux 4 Rohan

Dude, I appologized to Rohan and he understood. Dude you're right. After discussing changing the backlight with someone at vst, i decided to leave that to a technician. The pads would be a much easier task. But again, when i'm ready i'll let the pros do it. Thanks for the advice and remember, no ones perfect. [whisper] (not even Rohan). lol!!!
