Some of your points that was raised in response to my comments are very valid. I believe because I my self am a software developer, some of us have a different approach to coding, and I dont really aggree with some of JJ's methods.

Though there is alot of variables I am notaware of so i cannot make a sound judgment on what is actually going on.

I have two views:

1. if you reverse engineering akai's dodgy code then i understand there is alot to deal with making more work for your self as you go along changing things.

2. if you know the code so well, re-write it from the ground up and make it more efficent, in terms of how its structured together. Start in pieces and fit them all together like puzzle or a car for example.

It would be good to see a build that just simply works.

however i do recall saying he should do different versions catering to different styles of production.

anyone interested in seeing JJOS DJ, JJOS PRO, JJOS VISTA!!??!

as such, i now feel like some of my comments were from a comparatively uninformed position, if i sounded too big for the shoes i was wearing i apologize

i have a lot of respect for people who know how to do that
kind of like the same way i used to awe at how people performed filter sweeps, or put together a convincing acoustic drum track.

coding is my next frontier, but i look at it with great apprehension. i think i'll have to start on easy stuff like max/msp...but someday i hope to build upon/supervise the building upon of the MIDISENSE software (open sooooource...if you work with me on this i'll build you a custom portable 6 CC midi controller for free....stay tuned)

me, i would love a "video tour" of the actual programming of the jj os. not actual documents, but youtube segments of certain bits and pieces as the programmer narrates. that would fascinate me no matter how little i understood.

OS2 was originally spoken of to be a "brand new" os. originally i interpreted this as "From scratch" but clearly this is not the case.
