Connection problems... Please help

I have an mpc 1000, a presonus audiobox, and a mac with garageband and audacity.


I'm totally lost. Can anyone please tell me how to hook everything together so I can record my beats into my computer. I've looked in the manual and on various websites but non give a definite answer. Please help. PLEEEEEEEEASE.


Do I need to change some settings on the mpc 1000?

You want to record the main out of the MPC into your audio interface. To do this you'll need a pair of 1/4" jack out from the L/R of the MPC into your presonus audio box in. Make sure your computer recognizes your audio interface. From there you should be good. This is the simplest method.

Another way is to record the main out of your MPC as wav. file then transfer into your computer. To do this just go to Mode/RECORD and switch the INPUT to MAIN OUT. Then just hit record. Save the wav. file in your CF card and transfer it into your computer.

The Presonus only has main out in the back. It has midi in and out and a phone jack. in the front it has a mic connection and a instrument connection. Which one would be the main in on the audio interface?

thats all i know as far as conncetions go ive never used the audiobox or audicaty but i did stay at a holiday inn express!
