Possible to clear all events while playing?

Is this possible? I know you can erase certain notes via holding erase + pad, but does the JJ OS allow you to do anything like clear all notes in a given track while playing?

nope. stop the track, erase all data on track, and play again.

this would be a good feature to have, but i bet it's probably not doable due to a hardware limitation. would like to hear what JJ says about this.

actuallly, why the hell doesn't JJ himself (or his helper) post on this forum? it would probably save him a lot of time dealing with bug reports, repetitive feature requests, and would lay out what things are and are not possible which would save US a lot of time debating them!

they don't post here because of the language barrier. time spend decoding some of ya'lls absolutely cryptic messages would be better spent coding. i read some stuff here where people don't use punctuation - that's hard enough for me to make sense of as an english major, let alone for someone with limited english...haha

as for scd, he let 1 or 2 bad apples spoil the bushel.

that mpc5000 bug thread absolutely should not have been deleted in my opinion...important discussion, most importantly to people who might be buying a 5000 in the future. it's just not right to delete discussion regarding OS development - this website is not affiliated with akai, so why should our content be "spun" to favor their products?

extremely questionable. i held my tongue, but since you brought it up i had to say something...and for the record i am forever cool with all mods, just highly critical of that particular executive decision

for the record : I once asked JJ the exact same question the OP has asked, and I got a response back saying that it is imposible due to a limitation of the CPU. You can't erase all while playing/recording, just like you can't change sequences after recording.

It's a shame, it would turn the MPC into a hell of a live looper machine for me. But you can't have it all I suppose...

my dream mod. still hope it happens someday. would be nice if Akai got off their lazy asses & released a new mpc 1000 with circa 2008 cpu & components but that will never happen. look at that bloated 5000 they just released. if you want the horsepower they are gonna force you to buy the big expensive beast & put more $$$ in their wallets. they still don't understand that the reason the 1000 is so popular is that it is compact, portable, stripped down & nice approachable physical interface & somewhat affordable (tho still overpriced to buy new in the store in my opinion.)
