Loop in Realtime on the 3k...

Hey peeps,

Just wondering if i was to sample a 2 bar loop into the 3k. Is it poss to have it in realtime to get it going in the speed of the bpm i have the 3k at?

Not sure I understand your question but if you mean time-stretching ala Ableton Live or the MV-8800, etc., then the answer is no. You can of course speed up or slow down your loop with the tuning function. You can also adjust your start and end points to allow your loop to sync with your sequence. In the Vailixi OS recently released, you can do this real-time which is a very handy feature.

Ah right, what i mean to say is... if i was to load a loop into the 3k which was say 127bpm could i not speed it up and down with the bpm on the 3k using the data wheel i.e realtime....

Yes you can just adjust the tune of the loop to your desired speed

I think he means realtime with the BPM of the track. I think That is a little advanced for a sampler that came out in the early 1990's

Well than all you have to do is just transpose the whole sequence, so when he turns the dial to speed up the bpm, the loop speeds up as well in realtime, right?

No. The samples themselves are not directly affected by the BPM as far as I know. If you want to change the speed, you have to do it manually. You can also chop your samples up to the point that the individual slices are programmed as notes and would therefore speed up along with the track, but the MPC does not do that automatically.
