O.K... I know this has been asked many times before on this forum, yet after an hour of searching, i still havent found clear answers to this most simplest question.
What is the most secure simplest method to saving your data onto a mac laptop???
Im running the akai os, and used to save "all progs and samps" then create a new folder, then save my sequence to that folder. Now it seems most of you "save entire memory" thereby making a project folder. Is there an advantage to this method that im not understanding?
Could you please break this equation down to the lowest common denominator... spell out all the details how yall work it! Im just getting over losing all my ish from a faulty cf card, and need to understand whats up with this new method.
Aside from that, when i hook up the mpc, via usb, to the mac, i copyed everything from my cf card to the laptop... which is like 5 songs on there. Is it also possible to create specific folders which would be assigned to the specific songs, or do i basically have to copy the entire thing to properly reload just 1 song.
for example... if i just want to load 1 song from mac to mpc, what files would need to be included in that folder. Would just my progs and project folder be enough or what?
