Transferring programs and samples from MPC 1000 to MPC 5000

Damn... So i guess its just the mpc 2000xl program transfer thats messed up.... I guess ill have to have it out with Akai Monday... my programs will not load up, the name will load up, but not the sounds(sometime, 1 or 2 sounds might load up, and the program name).

This morning, I tried loading an MPC 2500 (Akai OS 1.23) single SEQ from an ALL FILE that was saved on a CF card. The MPC 5000 would not load the SEQ and displayed "Invalid File on CF". However, the ALL FILE loaded fine.

Dang... i guess it just might be us 2000XL User programs... ill check wit tech support tomorrow.....

Any updates on transferring from 1000 JJ OS to 5000? Who should I talk to about this?!?!? It's vital I figure it out!

You will probably have to contact JJ for this one. Akai doesn't have the obligation to support this "unofficial" operating system. You will probably have to attempt to load your files created using the JJ OS into an MPC 2500/1000 that is running an Akai OS and resave...if that is even possible. I would check in the MPC 1000 JJ OS forum to see what other users have done.

At one point not too long ago, wasn't Akai Japan selling the MPC 1000's that came pre-loaded with the JJ OS?

Anyone tried reverting to AKAI OS on the 1000 and doing the transfer???

They didnt implement it in the last OS update, but its already been placed as a request to the OS developers...

The regular Akai OS for like the 500, 1000, and the 2500 should not have any problems
