its more than that....it allows u to remix your own beats and tracks on the fly

without it my group's stage show wouldnt be half of what it is...i can cut movie samples, vocals i recorded, my own beats

I gotta say I'm really thankful for it's existence. If I play for a mainstream type of crowd I can play a lot of new mainstream/club releases that I would never want to pay a cent for. As mentioned before the beauty of it is that you can edit or remix cuts and really personalize your mixes. But the thing I like most ,other than avoiding major back pain, is that I can take the crowd in any musical direction I want with only a click.

yeah... i need to find out more about the advanced things you can do with it.PRODUCTIONWISE musically ..the guy's i know havent got into that yet or have not realy used in that manner ...thats what i'm after, just without the pc and just vinyl

You say its a waste of money. But instead of digging to find drum samples off records. You can get all your sounds that u already have and put them on vinyl and get that nice vinyl sound without having to buy 10,000 records to find all the good breaks.............. I just wanna hear some of your tracks and see what "good ideas" you have! HA

youre missing a major point of hip-hop. digging is PART of the art, its a part of the process, and its a piece of history a lot of us have respect for. no disrespect for you tryin to do your own thing. to fake a drum break, which is essentially what youre doing, just seems inauthentic to me. peace
