Does the mpc 1000 have the discard option that is seen in the mpc 2500. This option allows you to remove th parts of music that are not selected when sampling music?

Are you talking about the PURGE button in the Program Edit Screen?? That button gets rid of any sample currently in the memory that are not being used.

There is a DISCARD button, I forget where it is... but I think it's for discarding a recent edit of a sample...

of course... I'm still a newbie... so someone else may have a better thought.

nah, he's talking about in TRIM mode, when you select a portion of the waveform and want to discard the un-selected bits

also known as 'truncate'

yes, the 1000 has this function
