sorry for not putting enough detail. well I hooked up my zip drive to the 2k and I put in a zip disk. I went, shift then disk. after I find the scsi device and it says scsi not ready. I'm not sure if it has to load but it loads for quite a long time and it didn't work afterwards. the sounds on the zip disk are all wav drums from my computer. I put a lot of sounds into the zip. I'm not sure what to do right now.

I think you may have to format the disc on your mpc (which will erase all the sounds you put on there) and then put em back on using the mpc editor.

Do a search in the 2000, 2000xl section on this as this will have been covered soo many times and explained way better than i ever could. Read up it's all here.

Peace.

if it says scsi not ready then your zip isnt hooked up right. be sure you have a scsi zip and not a parallel drive. if its scsi then you will have switches on the back to select the channel and termination. if you dont have these switches then it wont work.
