First note not being played at start

Hi everyone,

I have a small problem, small but still annoying.
When I play my beats, the first note is not being played at the start, but once the loop goes back to the first bar then I can hear it.

The only change that I've made rcently is to set the Time Correct to 1/16 but it should be the reason since you need to apply it to the sequence (fix option) for the change to take place.

What is even stranger is that it doesn't affect the drums, the kick starts at the same time the note does and it plays normally...

Any idea to sort this problem ?

sounds like you've used timing correct and changed the shift timing to be negative, pushing the first note to the end of the sequence.

I don't know about shift timing but what I was trying to explain is that the only change that I made recently was to change the Time Correct to 1/16 by default (it used to be set to off).

So really when I load my sequences it sould make any difference as long I a don't apply the time correct to it (fix option)...

I am talking about beats that I have made before and used to be fine but now for a strange reason the first note (except for the drums) is not playing right at the start, it only does after first loop.

I hope that I don't sound crazy or anything, I'm far from being a expert but there is definitely an obvious difference when a note is not being played as it used to...

have you tried changing the time correction settings back to what they were before? then at least you'd know it was due to the new time correction setting (which it sounds like it is)...

also, i can only see that time correction setting in the preset as being a pain -- unless you time correct absolutely everything consistently. i know for me, whenever i need to correct timing on something i just activate it, it's not very far away (less than 5 clicks?). the last thing i'd need is something automatically fixing my shit that's way off time purposely.

go into step edit and make sure the event you expected to be the first note is at the beginning of the sequence and not at the end of the sequence.

Are you using any external MIDI devices Keyboards, Sound Modules.
If so, For every track that you have that you are using MIDI, On the main screen You MUST turn the Pgm:OFF
Even if you forget to turn 1 MIDI track Pgm:OFF it will still cause the delay.

does it make a difference if you use Goto the start of the song and then press Play rather than Play Start from the middel of the song? (esp on ext midi equip)

Well I guess to day is a new day, I don't have that problem anymore!
I am happy but still a bit puzzled, it was happening with every beat that I loaded up, on after the other...

Anyway if I ever come across the same kind of trouble I will carry on on this thread.
