I got a borrowed copy of cubase without a manual so I have not real messed with it much. But I bought this book cubase power and this other ish which is basically tips, tricks and short cuts. Since I've got a copy of audition which is mad easy to use. If you want i'll sell you those books cause I probably won't be using them any time soon. I live 20mins. north of Boston throw me a PM if your interested

You have 2 sequencers (a hardware one and a software one), and you have a sampler, you have a digital audio recorder.

So with that you can basically start making and recording songs on individual tracks and do what you will with them.

To link the MPC and Cubase....you will do this thru midi. So you need a midi interface on your computer, the typical soundcard usually can be converted via joystick port to do midi. Its a 10.00 cable.

Plug that into the back of the MPC (out from pc IN to MPC, etc etc)

Then set the computer to sync out in midi timecode or midiclock, and set the mpc to accept IN midi timecode or midiclock, and thats it.

in a nutshell so to speak.
