Diggin Mistake?

I just passed up some 1978 Olympic runner record, a "don Cornelius – soul train gang" record and some record called "sins of Satan", anyone seen/heard these records? Did I make a mistake? How r they for loops and samples?

if you have second thoughts then you probably made a mistake. maybe theyu were too expensive but you'll never know how ill it is...

just kik back some day when you anit got noyhing to do and put them on and listen to the sounds that come out at you then sample and flip.

there's got to be somthing to sample in there, you can make some kind of abstract music with it use your imagenation,
i got some records , that sre really strange but you can use it,
imagenation, thats what it's all about.

you probably made a mistake if it interesting looking or sounding and cheap buy it- like ede said you have to listen for stuff that perks up your ears like shyt i could do this with that sample. I would of bought the satan one b/c ther has too be a usable sample on there like some fuk'd up organ or sumthin. oh well you'll live to dig another day. I hate the feeling when you have a huge stack of recordds you want and don't have the loot for all of them- time to pick and choose

Anybody else hide records when they don't have loot??
There this warhouse a couple of towns over from me that's mad slept on and they have vinyl out the ass so I squrril shyt away everytime i go there.

Olympic Runners usually have something nice on them, especially if you're into guitar solos !!!!!

still, the olympic runner record had a blue background, and some lady in a white clingy top crossing the finish line, and there is water spraying all over her.


but it was definately late 70's so i stayed away, cos the dude in the shop was not allowing portables.

but that record got stashed so i might have to do some recon after work and pray it is still there, u right about the satan record but i was being to skepticle.

imo no such thing as a "mistake" really in digging, cause you don't know whats on them till you hear them, just pretty much a roll of the dice

The only mistake you can make while diggin is not having a portable turntable with you.

I recently found a FisherPrice/Sesame Street my first turntable for $10.
The thing is **** HOT!

It runs off of C batteries, it plays 12s, 10s, 7s at 33 or 45 rpm (even has a built on pop up 45 adapter)

It has a built in speaker, but that is an easy enough mod to wire that up to a headphone jack.

Now everytime I have that stack of potentials that has twice as many records in it as I am going to buy I can sort through them the correct way, with my ears.

i really don't pass up on any records. I can always sample at least a drum kick or snare drum from it.

Hell yeah, I hide records if I don't have the loot for it right then and there or even if I'm unsure about. Like hiding a record in the clothes rack or in a box with other used sh*t in it.

if you passed up some something with Don Cornelius on it you may have made a mistake...

really the only mistake you can make is not having knowledge on what you are looking for , can't say it enough know the artist ,producers, labels,and there sounds, jsut cause it has a funky cover don't mean it's any good, funky covers help sell records.
