MIDI keyboard hooked up to MPC

After you hook up the MPC 2000xl to your MIDI keyboard, How do you change the notes on the MPC with the keyboard. Im try to play a guitar sound sampled on the MPC with the keyboard hook up MIDI.

It sounds as if you are looking to play this sample with the keys of the keyboard and you hear it like the internal sounds of the keyboard right???

I have good and bad news for you.......

bad news is it dont work like that........
Good news you have to program the sample thats in the mpc to span over all 64 pads set at a tuning difference of 10 all the way thru to acheive this effect
