About mpc format zip disk

Hi u all...

Its been a while I was here but now Im here. I wanna ask this:

I have an Mpc 2000xl with an zipdrive. Couple of days ago I bought an used usb 250 zip drive and
I try to make an backup copy of them. But here is the problem:

My computer dosen't reconize mpc formated zip disk and I can't not make an backup of them. I
try with the MPC editor v3 but I can't get an hang of it. I just wanna copy them and make backups
so I have still my music left. Must I save all the projects on a pc formated zipdisk or is there
anthor solution on this problem?

I was having the EXACT problem just a few days ago. Someone suggested that I format the disk on your computer and format it FAT 16. Well, my pc can only format FAT 32 or just FAT. I tried the FAT format and it worked! Give it a shot.

Thanks for the tip and yes I know about the zipdisk format. But that is not the issue. The issue is that I have music on the mpc formated disk and I wanna make an backup of them. I just wonder are the anthor way to access them?

Create an Akai virtual drive on your PC HD. Then you will be able to drag the files on your zip disk(s) over to the virtual drive (which is just a spot on your PC HD that is in Akai format). They will then be backed up and you could restore them to another zip disk (or any Akai formatted media, like a CF card) at a later time, should the need arise.

Well I can access the disk but now it comes an errors and I cannot copy of them. Did I made an mistake when I choose virtual disk options?
