Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i know this topic has been covered a million times but i sifted through 20 pages of the search feature & didnt find my answer. basically, im going to get my own computer finally but i heard that windows xp corrupts mpc zips. true or false? as long as i format the zips on a pc i should be fine right?

Format as FAT32 and you'l be fine.

NOT!

MPC's will not read Zips that have been formatted as FAT32.

my mpc can read disks i use for my pc. i can then load sounds into the mpc this way. but the pc cant read from mpc formatted disks. as much as i wish it did so i could back up them babies to some cdr's or whatever. i hear something about using fat 32 or 16 for your c: file system. and u can read the akai formatted disks. maybe.

I format my Zip 250's FAT-16 under WinXP and I haven't had a broblem.
