Hey fellaz, it's the Inspektor signing in... Got the 1k for a while now but I mostly use the SP404, hope you don't mind... 
Yesterday I realized that the original AKAI 32MB CF CARD can be read by both machines; which is amazing!!! The only problem I got is that only the AKAI card seems to work... I tried different cards, formated them in both machines, in different orders, I guess I tried everything that's possible BUT as I said only that god blessed AKAI Card works.. but you know 32MB ain't that much. I just wanted to let you know this and I'm also looking for help to get "normal" Cards to be read in both machines. So if you know sth about that stuff, please help me out. I know a lot'S of cats using a sp + a mpc cause you can tweak sounds with that roland like no mpc could do ( I AM NOT DISSING ). Sh*t would be like heaven, export your 404 samples and simply put the card into the mpc and load that stuff.
I already posted that stuff in the sp forums but nobody could help me yet.
