help.
my mpc2000xl will not load much from my zip disks. when i try to load an APS file it comes up with 'unexpected disk end', or when i try to load up just a sound, for example, 'disk error' will appear.
i have tried using my old zip disk drive and this happens on that as well. tried using a few different zip disks and it was pretty much the same for all of the (sometimes it would start loading an APS file but 'disk error' would appear after a couple of sounds had loaded, and some sounds if loaded individually would be ok).
from this i reckon it cant be the drive thats at fault, i hope it isnt my disks that have somehow all become corrupt at the same time.
it seems to a problem with the MPC reading information from the SCSI port, especially PGM information.
does anyone know what's the matter with it? can it be repaired? are all of my zip disks corrupted?
any help gratefully appreciated. i may take a couple of days for me to respond as i am rarely near a computer.
thanks
