ram problem mpc 2000..

So i tried to install like 6 differnt sticks of ram and the mpc didnt recoginze any, so i dont think its the ram it must be the ram ports, i bought this used on ebay and the inside was pretty dirty and old and dusty, i think the ram ports are old and maybe corodid or something , anyone ever have an issue like this? it says 0 megs when i put the ram in and when i take them out it says 2mb.. hmm

1.clean the pins( with alcohol based liquid) ,
2.clean the memory slots(said it was dusty inside) ,
3.and check if you installed the ram properly
4.go check manual page 166
5.you can use the search engine as well. some people had the same problem few days ago.
