Sampling Drums/Clearence/ sampling from cds

when sampling drums from say a Noreaga song, do u have to clear the samples of the drus? also does anyone eles sample from cds.or do u just sample from vinyl.with a turntable

if you sample a drumloop and use it as it is, then, probably, there's a little chance someone might recognize it and try to sue you. if you sample single drumhits just don't worry about it.

do u get the same quality from sampling from cds,as u do from a turnatable with vinmyl

its doesnt matter where u sample from as long as it sounds good or you can clean it up or dirty it up when u EQ your sounds.

just do it.

man i have to say that if you sample drums off a Nore song you could get smacked!!!
that is extremly wack man... then again to each their own

sample sounds it doesnt matter where it comes from
but other hip hop songs is a no no man! dig your own drums or buy your samples or sown load them ... but if you do that then just use computers no need for a sampler...

even timbaland "confessed" sampling drums from cds (even hiphop)

i take drums from hip hop records. i dont see a problem with it.


if its part of a track where its just the drums why not. but if your taking the drums plus the sample or whatever thats on top of them thats a different story.

if you new and you're learning your mpc i dont see a problem with it either.

i was sampling and chopping madlib loops when i first started. never claimed em as my own though.

There's something about sampling bass from records that i love it...i Havn't quite grasped the perfection of sampling snares and kicks yet but i will get there...
