Multiple tapping of pads/triggering errors(TROUBLE)

I am really puzzled. Starting just last night my mpc was doing some strange things............When i would load drum samples into multiple pads, if i tapped a single pad w/ a drum it would trigger another snare every 8th tap of a single pad. Remember this was only happening w/drum samples like any snare kick hh or bass line. I cant even recall having a snare like the one that automatically triggers.......What is this?? If i tested vs. a sample from a record on my tables,the problem never happened......?? I'm really confused......has anyone ever heard of this? Would it be wise to re-install the original OS? PLEASE HELP ME OUT FELLOW MPC BROTHAS!!!

Could be something with your memory, or the pad connector somehow got "dislocated"
First try reinstalling your OS. If that doesn't help, try Re-Seating your memory first. If that doesn't work, try the pad sensor connector (re-seating it).
If all fails, come back.

Sounds like your pad sensor sheet might be dirty or bad.

at the least you should pull the top of the case to make sure there is nothing trapped under your pads. the sensor sheet is a sealed item so they dont get dirty. they just wear out. but there may be something trapped in between your pads and sensor sheet. also the conector should be looked at. but be gentle with it. the plastic ribbon is somewhat fragile. and if it cracks or breaks you have a dead pad set. and im not sure you can replace it anymore. even if you can its 75 dollars. it may just be that when you play your drums you play a little more agressively. thus accidentally triggering another pad. i know i tend to bang out my drums a little harder than my chops. also look over your rubber pads while its apart. make sure they all stay up firmly and dont sag onto the sensors. if its worn out and sagging then it can trigger that pad when you play others near it. and it may be hard to notice with the pads installed.
