i find it funny that most of you cats go all out ta talk ish on computer programs...
( and don't get it twisted, cause i KNO that its WEAK! )
But on tha contrary i see most of yall same doodes talkin about usin MPC editor...?
yall might aswell go wit tha Reason and a MDP16 wit USB...(its cheaper and easier)
aint NO point in tha oL 60 or a 3000 when your editing and loading your samples from a PC!
big ups to those who sample straight from vinyL! and if you use any Program on a PC (mpc editor included)
youre doin jus as much work on a computer as Reason wit Midi controller... don't hate! cause you don't got room too.
you aint diLLa! youre on a forum, get off tha computer and go make music!
do your homework. its supposed to be fun!

and oh! yo! Toe. my advice would be ta keep both of those treasures(replacement parts)!
yet if you have ta get rid of one of tha machines, i would hold on to tha MkII...
as informed by Bruce from Forat tha voice card will go out in both machies over an extended period of years...
tha catch is that tha voice card in tha MKI is not manufactured anymore so ta copp a replacement chip ya gotta buy a whole nother 60... Tha MKII's voice card is still made, less likely ta go out, and if it does its much easier ta replace...
i had this tragedy happen ta me over tha summer wish i woulda had a MKII... since tho i scoop a 3K instead and i wouldn't i trade it for tha end of tha world!

Cheers for the sensible post. Unfortunately keeping both is not an option, gotta sell one. I'm getting round to thinking I'll keep the MK1 for looks, but got got me shook from the voice card comment.

i mean for reals...? your clownin rite?
your worried about cosmetics over future functionality...?
move tha scisi port to your MKII and you'll be much better off...
that MkI voice card failure ish tha truth and tha tuth is brutal...
especially when you turn on your MP one day and all your samples sound jacked...
you'll wish you had another 60 or 60MkII or even better a 3K!
for serious be serious.

He didnt say much.. didnt even say anything negative, rather just gave a subjective opinion, based on my post. Even then, he was talking to me, yet I wasnt offended.

Maybe you are still mad cuz ya chip burnt out? Its over Gee... You got the 3k now so PAY ROHAN if you havent already....and um....

First off phellas , I wasn’t blastin on anyone particular so don’t take offense…Sorry if I came off that way…Im not on tha forum ta get kicks from internet beef! And you shouldn’t be either(put down tha hater-ade).
I was jus reguarding how quick fools are ta talk shit on this forum when someone asks an honest question… Music is fun! One should try ta share and spread knowledge of fun, not hide it like some higher echelon of aristocracy… c’mon lets be real, tha doode Toe needed ta kno if theres was any advantages to either machince. and jus cause yall didn’t kno how ta answer him thoughtfully you assumed tha role of a chump (im still not pointing fingers so don’t trip)…

Ha sorry my post should have read I had been thinking about keeping the MK1 but you chip comment has made me reconsider.

i dont get this computer talk shit.... the MPC 60 itself functions on a 8086 chip.... i.e. the first chip that was in ur very first personal computer available to the masses. Basicly you been using a computer for over 20 years man!!!!!! Better drop that shit and get real with a pearl drumkit! 8)

There is a BLOODY civil war between Reason(s) and Reason(z) happening at the Southeast hempisphere of the innerweb.
Some old guy cant get his myPhone to upload pictures to iSpace.
