Should I trade Roland Fantom X6 for 2000XL fully loaded?

I have a Roland Fantom X6 w/ maxed out memory that I don't use it very often. I want an MPC. I already that the Fantom does more but I don't need all that. I've been offered a trade for a MPC 2000XL with multi-card reader w/ 2gig card, 20gig hard drive, effects board, 8 0uts, new pads, and 15 gigs worth of professional sounds. My question is: Is it a fair trade, as far as value? I know that the 2000XL isn't compatable with the JJ OS, but I'm not sure if that is a deal breaker.

first- check to see how much fantom x6 is selling for, and then compare it a fully loaded 2kxl?

if the price is similar only 50 or 100 dollars similarity then do it.

ive fully loaded my 2kxl it is a beautiful thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

however the fantom is integral as well! i bought the xr cos i didnt need the keyboard.

Sounds like a good deal but I doubt that I would do it. I'd save up for the xl and then you'd have both. But... it also depends on how bad you want an MPC. All those extras are cool. I guess I'd be having a hard time deciding too... I guess i wasn't much help was I? :? Sorry.

i wouldn't trade if i were you. it might be too much for you now, but in the future you might grow into it. do not follow, try to lead. who knows, maybe one day you'll have one of them funny lookin pills and start doing forbidden european club techno.
save up for an mp.

That's not an even trade. You will be losing in the long run. Save up for a 2000xl.

I agree with my man, selling gear will leave you sick.. Cop an MPC off ebay, and you'll be straight... But between choosing between one or the other? Depends on how you produce, dog.. I never had a Fantom, but I started my lab with an ASR 10 back in the day... Between the two, I gots to have my MPC yo..

I find using a variety of gear makes music fun and you can start learning to tailor your sound. For example you could use your ASR(or Fantom) or whatever as your sampler and then sequence in the MPC with a $10 MIDI cable. The MPC sequencer is easy to learn and very useful.
