Sound

Please dont flip out on me for such a "noob" question.


So, i just got my mpc1k and i have t hooked up now, but i dont have any money for monitors right now. So, all i have is my cheap ass comp speakers with headphone jack. What is a way i can get my sound to output through those speakers?

if you can help thanks. If not im going to buy some cheap 30$ monitors if i can find any.

the MPC speaker jack is to big for the speaker plug, but nice try at having a smart ass response.

why do you act like ever since you started, you've known everything about making beats? there was never a learning curve, just a rocket straight up to "greatness".

Homie, when I started I didnt need a forum to spoonfeed me basic sh*t...thats one....Second, EVERY piece of gear I ever copped came with a manual which I read....it aint about "acting" like anything...the whole new wave of beatmakers is pretty much lazy at best. Without youtube or a forum seems like most cant get past the early steps (hence this thread). All Im saying is that a little bit of initiative will go a long way...if your not gonna put the time in to learn the basics then pack it up now and save the money. You asked a question and Lamp answered you. You should have just thanked the man and kept it moving.

well said. no offense to anyone, but it seems like there are a ton of kids getting their hands on mpcs without the slightest knowledge of what basic things like inputs and outputs are. i'm not trying to be a douche, but the manual can answer most of your questions.

Ok touche, truce you got me. I read most of the manual, I understand how the input and output work, it was just unknown to me that there was an adapter piece. Its just that every time someone wants to know something that can take a 5 word answer, or even a picture, there always has to be an attempt to put someone down. Its really unnecessary, i understand the alot of you older cats learned everything by yourself, but if there is a forum available with people who have had success producing, i would like to gather info from those dudes. Stick around the forums for a while and eventually you'll say to yourself "ah man not another sound cutting each other off post" It aint not personal issues and I aint got none with you all im saying is if you put the effort and it shows then dudes will be more inclined to help including myself. the only issue i got right now is i need money and some better drums..

Excuse me OP, I don't think you understood by what lampdog meant when he posted that pic. That is called and adapter. It connects to your computer speakers which then ables your computer speakers to FIT in the headphone jack of the mpc. Don't be so sensative sir and just so you know. I don't think its wise to start fights with the vets of this forum when all they're trying to do is help...
