I used to download efe's efa's ede's eda's online. Format a PC DISK on my ASR10 and this is how I got the sounds into my keyboard. I used this SAME page before. It's not perfect but I got it work most of the time with the downloads.

I also used to take samples from my pc, usually wav, and convert them to Ensoniq files via Awave.

LOTS of ASR10 resources, I've personally read through MANY of these sites throughout the years, good stuff.
READ more, understand your machine and eventually you'll become more deadly with your EPS/ASR Weapon of choice.

"I noticed the asr thread has been getting a lot of attention these days ............

It's a link to add to your references column..............

I referenced it just today to write a disk from a virtual drive (Ensoniq formatted CDR Series).

Well, here's the link. Thought it might help someone else out."

If you have scsi, don't sleep on chicken translator. I use it to convert whole folders of wav drums into efe files (ensoniq instruments) in addition to backing up my beats to the pc/mac. The latest versions read floppy with the help of an omniflop floppy driver.

asr x pro was ahead of it's time but the interface grossly held it back.

I had one but sold it and got the 2kxlse2, way more limited but interface and pads had me hooked.

My asr10 kybd, I'll never sell.

Got the pro a month ago (for a verry good price).
I've only used it once as a standalone machine (trying out the sequencer etc)
Mainly it gets used as extra midi controller/sampler.
Love the sound, its a bit diffirent sounding than the asr10.

If I had to choose asrx pro or 2000xl than I would def. choose the XL. Nothing works as easy and fast as the xl.(I'm getting at xl speed with my 4k, glad I never sold my other Mpc's.)

I got both of these too, I'm not at xl speed with my 4k just yet either, I still got a ways to go before
I can contribute something useful to the 4k forums though, I don't consider myself 4k fam just yet  .
