Mine is not doing that anymore.I think you have to format the disc .Make sure you dont plug it in or wiggle the cables while its on also.

now my mpc is not recognising my scsi drive at all,could it be that my scsi drive is ****

check the cables ..
- XL is a GREAT machine on SCSI
- It will eat everything .. or so
otherwise .. patch ya internal ZIP\CFreader manually on them .. small jumperz 4 SCSI ID

what if i have a mpc 2000?? the is no scsi 0-6 no switch just an eject button Epsom Iomega zip 100 and it freezes at scsi 0 in the mpc.... i have no idea!

Hey,
I had the same problem. What I did was that I go to load page, get the message, eject the zip -> push in again -> let it load until the sound was gone -> push load. Every time I did it like this it worked. Hope it helps, if not I am sorry! Mcd is a nice thing.
