can you get me a bottle of expression?
what is expression other than placement and modulation of notes in time?
what's that placement in time other than a sequence of events in a linear series of seconds?
what is a note other than one frequency out of a dozen?
since three notes into a spectrograph and you'll see a band move up and down depending on how high/low you go. you couldn't sing the simplest melody without the result being a different frequency. hearing is nothing other than interpretation of one bone in your ear beating against a membrane.
if you take away any of that, there would be no music. sound would just be sound.
why do we call "higher" notes "higher" and "lower" notes "lower" if it weren't for some quantitative reason?
